Pudding | Handmade Toddler Quilt

Truth be told, I didn't think it would ever happen. I talk a lot about sewing things, but it usually just ends in me stringing together curse words that would make a drug dealer blush, throwing fabric across the room, and stomping off in a huff.
Basically, sewing makes me drink.
But, I survived making Wes' quilt, and, even more shocking I finished it in time to gift it to him on Christmas. It has some seriously fatal flaws, but it is here, I finished it, Wes loves it, so I will call it good enough, and not beat myself up for the misaligned corners that drive me nuts.
We talked a lot about fabrics, and handmade quilts here and here, so I figured if proof is in the pudding, I offer up my pudding to you.
I should also mention that those whales are a pillow case we made on New Years day. Some people eat black eyed peas as a New Years tradition, we sew pillow cases and sleep on them that night (something about financial prosperity in the New Year.

I couldn't have done it without....
- This fantastic quilt binding tutorial. The only tutorial that made it seem like I could do it, and not run crying to Charlotte (she was more than willing, but I felt like that was cheating). It should be noted that this is just a single post in a series of really easy to follow posts on how to make a quilt.
- Charlotte and my endless emails about fabric options
- Jodi at SewFineFabrics on Etsy. I can't say enough about how wonderful she was when I contacted her about a flaw in the fabric she sent me (manufacturing flaw). I got a replacement piece in what felt like the next day, no questions asked.
- Catherine at Cotton Thread Fabrics on Etsy for setting up my totally random, and custom fat quarter set.
