Ever since I saw these mushroom cupcakes in Parents Magazine, I have been trying to convince myself that fungi are not the cutest thing ever.
A) That failed and I went on a mushroom hunt sans pigs
B) I am totally making this set up for The Beast's first birthday....maybe...I think....possibly. Do Vikings eat cupcakes? More on that later....
I keep reading about how foxes are the new hedgehogs, are the new bunnies, are the new jabberwockies...or something like that. Why the love for the woodland forest creatures, but no love for adorable mushrooms? Rubbish I say!
Oh, and don't worry, I felt bad excluding hedgehogs and foxes so I threw some in. I am an equal opportunity woodland creature lover.

Everything looks so bright and cheerful. I can't resist. Now if you will excuse me, The Beast has managed to dump out his entire container of Cheerios on a sleeping cat. I must go rescue one of them :hint: it isn't The Beast.
